Kirsi Maaria Hänninen (born October 3, 1976 in Joensuu ) is a former Finnish ice hockey and pesapallo player . At the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano , she won the bronze medal in the Olympic ice hockey tournament with the Finnish national team . She was also twice European champion and won several medals at ice hockey world championships .

Career

On a national level, she played for JYP Naiset between 1996 and 2001 before moving to Kärpät Oulu .

At Pesäpallo, Hänninen was two times Finnish champion (2000 with PattU and 1996 with Kirittäret) and 2004 runner-up. She has also received numerous personal awards.
