The Naisten Mestis (until 2012 Naisten I-Divisioona ) is the second division in Finnish women's ice hockey below the Naisten SM-sarja . Below the mestis is the Naisten Suomi-sarja . It has been run by the Finnish ice hockey federation Suomen Jääkiekkoliitto since 1985, when the top division was limited to eight participants.
