IIHF U18 women's ice hockey tournament 2007
The IIHF U18 women's ice hockey tournaments 2007 ( English Women U18 Invitational Tournaments ) were three women's ice hockey tournaments of the International Ice Hockey Federation IIHF for juniors under the age of 18 that were held during the international break in February 2007 .
The tournaments should be a test, especially in Europe, of how great the interest of the IIHF associations would be in an ice hockey world championship for women. The experiences from the tournaments and their organization should therefore help the IIHF Council to decide whether a women's ice hockey world championship for juniors should take place for the first time in 2008. At the IIHF's annual meeting in Moscow in May 2007 , a positive decision was made in this regard, so that the 2007 tournaments qualify for the U18 Women's World Cup in 2008 .
