Katja Hannele Riipi (born October 26, 1975 in Sodankylä ) is a former Finnish ice hockey player .
Career
At the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano , she won the bronze medal in the Olympic ice hockey tournament with the Finnish national team . In addition, she won numerous medals at world and European championships. So far, she has completed a total of 176 international matches.
Between 1994 and 2011 she played for Oulun Kärpät , Tampereen Ilves and Itä-Helsingin Kiekko in Naisten SM-sarja at national level . In addition, she played for HC Lugano Ladies in performance class A in the 2004/05 season .
