Danielle Goyette (born January 30, 1966 in Saint-Nazaire , Québec ) is a former Canadian ice hockey player and current coach .
Career
For Canada , Danielle Goyette took part in the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano , 2002 in Salt Lake City and 2006 in Turin . In addition, she was in her country's squad at the World Championships in 1992 , 1994 , 1997 , 1999 , 2000 , 2001 , 2004 , 2005 and 2007 . In 2006 she had the honor of being the flag bearer for the Canadian Olympic team at the opening ceremony of the Winter Games. In January 2008, she resigned from the Canadian national team.
Goyette has been the head coach of the University of Calgary women's team since 2007 .
In 2013 Danielle Goyette was inducted into the IIHF Hall of Fame , followed four years later by the North American Hockey Hall of Fame .
