Nanna Kristina Jansson (born July 7, 1983 in Gävle ) is a former Swedish national ice hockey player who was active at club level for Brynäs IF , AIK Solna and Segeltorps IF .

Career

Nanna Jansson's hometown club is Gävle GIK , for which she played soccer and field hockey in addition to ice hockey. Between 1996 and 2006 she played for Brynäs IF in the Riksserien . She then moved to AIK Solna , with whom she won the IIHF European Women Champions Cup and became Swedish champion in 2007 . After this success, she moved to Segeltorps IF and won another national championship in 2008.

In the 2009/10 season she was active for Sandviken IK before ending her career.

In the 2011/12 season she was the coach of the U16 juniors at Gävle GIK, and the following season she was assistant coach of the club's B juniors. In the 2014/2015 season she was employed by the Swedish Ice Hockey Federation to promote the development of Swedish women's ice hockey.

For the 2015/16 season she was assistant coach of the women's team at Brynäs IF.

International

Jansson made his debut for the Swedish national team in 1999 and completed a total of over 150 international matches for Sweden. She has represented Sweden at five world championships, winning bronze medals in 2005 and 2007. At the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City , she won the bronze medal in the Olympic ice hockey tournament with the national team and, four years later, the silver medal at the Winter Olympics in Turin .
