The Segeltorps IF is a Swedish sports club from Segeltorp , which is best known for its women's ice hockey team. This took part in the Riksserien , the highest women's ice hockey league in Sweden , until 2014 . The men's team has been playing in third-rate hockey since 2018 .

In the 1999/2000 season the Segeltorps IF took part for the first time on a national level in the division II, Season East, part. In 2002, when he finished third in the second division, he was promoted to Division I.

In the 2006/07 season, the women's team reached the championship final, which it lost to AIK Solna with 1: 2 in extra time . A year later it defeated the AIK 5-2 in the final and won the Swedish championship for the first time . At the end of the 2009/10 season, another win of the championship followed.

Due to the success of the national team took off in 2006 at the IIHF European Women's Champions Cup in part, reaching twice the final tournament. The Segeltorps IF won second place in the competition in 2009 . In 2014, the club was relegated from the Riksserien to Division 1 East, before the women's team was completely dissolved for the 2015/16 season.

After being promoted from fourth-class Division 2, the men's team will play in third-class hockeyettan from 2018 .
