The IIHF European Women Champions Cup ( EWCC for short ) of the International Ice Hockey Federation IIHF was an ice hockey competition for European women club teams and is also unofficially known as the "European Cup of National Champions in Women Ice Hockey". The competition was held for the first time in 2004 .

In terms of importance, the tournament corresponds to the Champions Hockey League , in which the best European men's club team is to be found, but in terms of competition regulations it is more similar to the IIHF Continental Cup . The teams play in preliminary round tournaments for entry into the final tournament. The cup winner in the first four seasons was the Swedish team AIK Solna . It was not until 2009 that they were replaced by the Russian representative SKIF Nizhny Novgorod .

In August 2015, the IIHF announced the end of the competition for financial reasons.
