The HK SKIF Nizhny Novgorod ( Russian Хоккейный клуб СКИФ Нижний Новгород ) is a Russian woman ice hockey team , the 2000-based Wiking Moscow was founded. In 2009 the team won the IIHF European Women Champions Cup , making it the most successful club team in European women's ice hockey in the 2008/09 season. The club has been based in Nizhny Novgorod since 2006 and hosts its home games at KRK Nagorny , where Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod also plays. The club was founded in 2000 as SKIF Moscow .
