The IIHF European Women's Champions Cup 2014/15 was the eleventh edition of the of the International Ice Hockey Federation IIHF discharged competition . The tournament, which was held from October 17, 2014 to February 22, 2015, was attended by 21 teams from as many countries. The final tournament was held from February 20th to 22nd, 2015 and won by the Russian representative SKIF Nizhny Novgorod .


mode

The four finalists were determined in two qualifying rounds. In the first round, 16 teams competed in four groups. The respective group winners and the three best runners-up qualified for the second round, where they met five teams seeded for the second round. These twelve teams played in three groups, their group winners and the best runner-up reached the final round of the last four.

Due to the great difference in performance between the teams, none of the teams in the first round reached the final and four of the five teams seeded for the second round played for the medals in the final round.

First round

The first round was all held from October 17-19, 2014. The first in each group and the three best runners-up qualified for the second round .

Group A

The group A games took place at the GSGM Buz Pateni Sarayi in Ankara . The winner and the runner-up qualified for the next round.

Second round

The intermediate round games will take place from December 5 to 7, 2014. Group E was held in the KRK Nagorny in Nizhny Novgorod . The field of participants consisted of seven teams that had qualified in the first round and five seeded teams. As the venue for the group F, the Swiss acted Lugano . Group G games took place in Linköping (Sweden). The top three teams and the best runner-up qualified for the final tournament.

For the matches in Group E in the Trade Union Sport Palace in Nizhny Novgorod the team of was SKIF Nizhny Novgorod already set. She met teams that had qualified in the group stage.
