The IIHF European Women's Champions Cup 2011/12 was the eighth edition of the of the International Ice Hockey Federation IIHF discharged competition . The tournament, which was held from October 28, 2011 to February 26, 2012, was attended by 20 teams from 20 countries. The final round took place from February 24 to 26, 2012 in Hämeenlinna , Finland .

For the fourth time in the history of the European Women Champions Cup, none of the finalists was seeded. The four finalists will be determined in two qualifying rounds.

Preliminary round

The preliminary round games took place from October 28th to 30th, 2011. Group A was hosted by Bytom in Poland, Group B games were played in Miercurea Ciuc , Romania , Group C pairings took place in Riga , Latvia , and Group D was played in Spišská Nová Ves, Slovakia .

The winners of groups A and D qualified to participate in group E, while the winners of groups B and C were placed in group F.

Intermediate round

The intermediate round games took place from December 2nd to 4th, 2011. The Finnish Hämeenlinna acted as the venue for Group E and Group F was played in Dornbirn . The two teams in the first places in a group qualified for the Super Final .

HPK Hämeenlinna from Finland and Aisulu Almaty from Kazakhstan were already seeded for the games in Group E.
