Olga Petrovna Sossina ( Russian Ольга Петровна Сосина ; born July 27, 1992 in Almetjewsk ) is a Russian ice hockey player who has been under contract with Agidel Ufa in the Shenskaya Hockey League since 2015 .

Career

Olga Sossina was born in Almetyevsk in the Republic of Tatarstan. She started ice hockey at the age of seven, as well as playing field hockey , soccer and floorball . She was also a member of the Russian national floorball team.

Sossina studied sports science at the regional school of the Olympic Reserve in Nizhny Novgorod. Between 2008 and 2015 she played for SKIF Nizhny Novgorod and won the European Women Champions Cup 2009 with SKIF . She also won the Russian championship with SKIF in 2008, 2010 and 2014 . In 2009, 2011, 2012 and 2013 she was each Russian runner-up with the club.

After the 2014/15 season, she moved to Agidel Ufa in the Russian women's league and won her fourth Russian championship title with Agidel in 2018.

Sossina holds the title of Master of Sports in the International Class .

International

In 2008, Olga Sossina made her debut for the Russian national team . During the 2009-10 season she was nominated for the roster for the Vancouver Olympics. and finished sixth at the tournament itself. In 2013 she won the bronze medal with the national team at the World Championships in Ottawa . In February 2014 she competed for the national team at the Winter Olympics in Sochi, played 6 games and scored 3 goals.

She won gold medals at the 2015 Winter Universiade in Granada and the 2017 Winter Universiade in Almaty .

At the 2016 World Championships in Malmö , she again won the bronze medal. In 2018 she competed for the Olympic Athletes from Russia at the Olympic Winter Games in South Korea and scored two goals in the course of the tournament.
