Jenni Hiirikoski started ice hockey in her hometown at Lempäälän Kisa (LeKi).

In 2006 she won her first Finnish championship with Ilves Tampere . She then moved to the Espoo Blues for one season , with whom she again achieved the championship title in 2007. At the end of the 2007/08 season , Hiirikoski was named the best defender of the SM sarja. She also won the runner-up with Ilves. After this success, she left her home country when she was signed by the reigning Russian champions SKIF Nizhny Novgorod in the summer of 2008 . With SKIF she won the European Women Champions Cup in 2009 and reached the Russian runner-up. She then returned to Ilves Tampere again and won another championship title with the club in 2010 . She was also named player of the year.

Hiirikoski left Tampere in the summer of 2010 and moved to Jyväskylä , where she started a painting and decorating company. In addition, she received a contract with the women's team of JYP , for which she played until 2016 with the exception of an interruption in the 2011/12 season - when she was again active for SKIF Nizhny Novgorod. In 2016 she won another Finnish championship title with JYP, but JYP's first team was subsequently disbanded. Hiirikoski moved to Sweden to Luleå HF in Svenska damhockeyligan .
