The 2007/08 season was the 26th edition of the highest Finnish women's ice hockey league , the Naisten SM-sarja . The league is organized by the Finnish ice hockey association Suomen Jääkiekkoliitto . SM is an abbreviation for suomenmestaruus (German: Finnish championship).

mode

Initially, all teams played a simple round with a return leg. The last two teams of this preliminary round took part in the relegation with four representatives from the second highest league. The best four reached the semi-finals. The play-offs were carried out in best-of-seven mode . There was only one game for third place.

Relegation

The final series in best-of-seven mode ended with a sweep after the team from Espoo had won four times on March 8, 9, 11 and 15, 2008. With a savescore of 97% in the play-offs, goalkeeper Noora Räty improved her value from the previous year and won the Finnish championship with the Blues.
