The 1993/94 season was the 12th edition of the highest Finnish women's ice hockey league , the Naisten SM-sarja . The league was carried out by the Finnish ice hockey association Suomen Jääkiekkoliitto . The championship was secured for the first time in the club's history by the Keravan Shakers . Tappara Tampere rose to the second division, the I-Divisioona , while Vaasan Sport made it into the league in relegation.

First, a preliminary round with a home and away leg was played with the eight participating teams. This was followed by the main round of the six best teams as a single round. There were 2 points for a win and one for a draw.

The first four teams in the main round qualified for the play-off semi-finals.
