The 1983/84 season was the second edition of the highest Finnish women's ice hockey league , the Naisten SM-sarja . The league was carried out by the Finnish ice hockey association Suomen Jääkiekkoliitto . The championship title was won again by last year's title holder, the HJK Helsinki .

mode

The twelve teams played in three groups with different numbers of participants each a single round with a return leg. There were 2 points for a win and one for a draw. A total of four teams qualified for the final tournament, two from the south, one from the east and another team from the east or north group.
