Porin Ässät is a Finnish ice hockey club from Pori that plays in the Liiga and plays its home games in the Porin jäähalli . Ässät was founded in June 1967 and emerged from the merger of Rosenlewin Urheilijat-38 (RU-38), the Rosenlew factory association founded in 1938 , and Porin Karhut . Karhut itself was created in 1960 from the merger of the ice hockey departments of Pori Palloilijat and Porin Kärpät .
