Brandon James "BJ" Crombeen (* 10. July 1985 in Denver , Colorado ) is a Canadian - American ice hockey player (right winger), the last until the end of the 2014/15 season for the Arizona Coyotes in the National Hockey League played . He is the son of former NHL player Mike Crombeen .
Career
Crombeen was selected 54th in the second round by the Dallas Stars during the 2003 NHL Entry Draft . After four years in the Ontario Hockey League , between 2001 and 2005, with the Barrie Colts , he played from the 2005/06 season for the farm teams of the Stars, the Iowa Stars from the American Hockey League and the Idaho Steelheads from the ECHL . After spending the first half of the 2006/07 season in Finland at Ässät Pori , he returned to Idaho and won the Kelly Cup with the Steelheads . In the following season he first played again for the Iowa Stars in the AHL, but made it into the NHL during the season. There he completed eight regular season games, in which he prepared two goals, and five playoff games for the Dallas Stars. In the early course of the 2008-09 season he was signed on the waiver list by the St. Louis Blues .
After the Tampa Bay Lightning signed him in 2012, they gave him and Sam Gagner to the Arizona Coyotes in 2014 and received a six- round vote in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft .
After the 2014/15 season, his expiring contract in Arizona was not renewed, so he is now looking for a new employer.
