Borås Hockey (until 2011 Borås HC ) is an ice hockey club from Borås , Sweden , which has been participating in Sweden's fourth division, Division 2 , again since 2017 .
history
The club was founded in 1969 after a spin-off from Norrby IF . Until 2007 they played in lower class leagues before the team won the Division 1 championship in 2007 . With a 6: 3 win over Hammarby Hockey , they were promoted to HockeyAllsvenskan . As part of the promotion, a cooperation agreement was signed with the first-class Frölunda HC . This made Borås HC players from Frölunda available.
In 2012 the club was relegated to Division 1 due to financial problems, followed in 2014 by relegation to Division 2. Two years later, the team was relegated again, now to fifth-class Division 3 . In 2017, however, he immediately returned to Division 2.
In addition to the professional team, the club maintains teams in the junior area:

Home ground
Borås HC's home games are played in Borås Ishall, which was built in 1972. This ice rink holds a total of 3949 spectators, with 1549 seats and 2400 standing places available. The club recorded the highest average attendance to date in the 2007/08 season, when an average of 1828 spectators followed the home games.
