history

Väsby IK HK was founded in 1956 as the ice hockey department of Väsby IK , but is now an independent club. The team played regularly in the then second-rate Division 1 from the 1970s to 1990s . The greatest success in the club's history was promotion to the Elitserien , from which the team immediately relegated in the 1987/88 season. Since the turn of the millennium, the team has been playing in Division 1, which is now third-rate and is now called hockeyettan .
