Hockeyettan

The Hockeyettan , formerly Division 1 since the 1999-2000 season , the third-highest hockey league in Sweden . Before that, it was first the top division from 1944 to 1975 before it was replaced by the Elitserien and from 1975 to 1999 the second top division, which is now the HockeyAllsvenskan .

mode

The league is divided into four regional groups. Following the main round, playoffs are held, the four best-placed teams of which qualify for the Kvalerien for promotion to the HockeyAllsvenskan. Any relegated from Division 1 will be relegated to Division 2 .
