The 1927/28 season was the first season of the Elitserien , the highest Swedish ice hockey division . IK Göta became the champion .

In the main round, each of the four teams played a total of six games. The first place in the main round was champion. Each team received two points for a win, one point for a draw and zero points for a defeat.
