IK Göta
The Idrottsklubben Gota is a traditional Swedish sports club based in Stockholm .
The club was founded in 1900 and has sections in ice hockey , bandy , floorball , handball and athletics . He produced a large number of Swedish champions, divided into individual disciplines and team competitions. The men's ice hockey team won nine and the bandy team four championships . The women's bandy team has won eight Swedish championships so far.
ice Hockey
The club was one of the initiators of the Swedish Ice Hockey Federation and also won the first national final against Hammarby IF 6-0. The team played 34 seasons in the top division and won eight other championship titles, the last of which was won in 1948. Today there is no longer a senior team as the club specializes in training young players.
Bandy
The men's team won the Swedish championship title in 1925, 1927, 1928 and 1929 and was once again in the final. The bandy section for men was later abandoned.
Since 1929, the club had a women's bandy team, which won the championship title in 1973, 1976, 1977, 1978, 1979, 1980, 1981 and 1983. The final was reached in two more seasons. Later there was a merger with the women's team of the Hammarby IF club, which is now fighting for championship points as IK Göta / Hammarby IF .
