The 1928/29 season was the second season of the Elitserien , the highest Swedish ice hockey division . IK Göta became the champion . Lidingö IF was relegated to the second division.

In the main round, each of the six teams played a total of ten games. The first place in the main round was champion. The last placed rose to the second division. Each team received two points for a win, one point for a draw and zero points for a defeat.
