The 1993/94 Elitserien season was the 19th season of the Swedish Elitserien . Swedish champions were for the second time in their club history of Malmö IF , while IF Björklöven was relegated to the second division.
Regular season
mode
First there was a main round with a home and away leg, in which each of the twelve teams played 22 games. Then the last two in the Allsvenskan had to compete against the best teams in the second division to stay in the league, while the other ten teams played a further 18 games (each game against every other opponent), with the results from previous matches being adopted . The eight best teams then qualified for the play-offs, while the playing time for the last two of the continuation round was over. Each team received two points for a win, one point for a draw and zero points for a defeat.
