Jan Roger Öhman (born June 5, 1967 in Malmö ) is a former Swedish ice hockey player .

Career

Öhman began his career in 1984 with Leksands IF in the Swedish Elitserien . Before the start of the 1985/86 season , the Winnipeg Jets from the National Hockey League signed him, which had selected him in the 1985 NHL Entry Draft in the second round in 39th position. However, he did not play a single game for the Jets.

For the 1986/87 season he accepted a contract offer from the Moncton Hawks from the American Hockey League , which he left after a season and signed a contract with AIK Solna in his home country . Öhman completed two seasons there before serving for six seasons at Malmö IF , with which he became Swedish champions in 1992 and 1994 . In 1996 he moved to the Kassel Huskies in the German Ice Hockey League for two seasons , with which he became German runner-up in 1997. Between 1998 and 2000 he went on the ice for the Klagenfurt AC before returning to his former club in Malmö. However, he moved to HC La Chaux-de-Fonds in the current season .

After he was physically active again for two seasons for his hometown, he ended his career in 2003.
