history

In the 1970s there were three higher-class ice hockey teams in Borlänge, the most successful of which was IF Tunabro, who had played for several years in Division 1 , which was still first-class at the time . The other two clubs were Kvarnsvedens GoIF and IK Rommehed. In 1977 the ice hockey departments of IF Tunabro and Kvarnsvedens GoIF merged to form Borlänge HC . Four years later, the IK Rommehed followed due to the great competition. The new team was initially named HC Dobel for sponsorship reasons . It was not until 1993 that the club was renamed Borlänge HF. Since the 1999/2000 season , the Borlänge HF has been playing in Division 1, which is now third-class, which is nowHockeyettan is called on.
