James Liu Tan-kuei
James Liu Tan-kuei ( Chinese 劉丹桂 Liú Dānguì ; born June 11, 1953 in Dongshi , Taiwan ) is emeritus bishop of Hsinchu .
Life
James Liu Tan-kuei was ordained a priest on November 12, 1981 and was incardinated in the clergy of the Taichung Diocese .
Pope John Paul II appointed him titular bishop of Accia and auxiliary bishop in Taipei on May 18, 1999 . The Archbishop of Taipei, Joseph Ti-kang , ordained him episcopal on August 14 of the same year; Co - consecrators were Joseph Wang Yu-jung , Bishop of Taichung , and Peter Liu Cheng-chung , Bishop of Chiayi .
On December 4, 2004, he was appointed bishop of Hsinchu . He resigned from his office on May 30, 2005.
