Joseph Ti-kang

Joseph Ti-kang ( Chinese  狄 剛 ; born May 7, 1928 in Sinsiang ) is emeritus Catholic Archbishop of Taipei .

Joseph Ti-kang was ordained a priest on December 20, 1953 and was incardinated in the clergy of the Archdiocese of Taipei .

Pope Paul VI appointed him Bishop of Chiayi on June 21, 1975 . The episcopal ordination donated him the prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples , Agnelo Cardinal Rossi , on 22 July of the same year; Co- consecrators were Joseph Kuo Joshih CDD , Archbishop Emeritus of Taipei, and Stanislaus Lo Kuang , Archbishop of Taipei.

On 3 May 1985 it called Pope John Paul II. To Coadjutor Bishop of Taipei. After the resignation of Joseph Cheng Tsai-fa, he succeeded him on February 11, 1989 in the office of Archbishop of Taipei. On January 24, 2004, John Paul II accepted his resignation because of his age.

Joseph Ti-kang is Grand Prior of the Taiwan Lieutenancy of the Order of the Knights of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem .
