Joseph Wang Yu-jung

Joseph Wang Yu-jung ( Chinese  王 愈 榮 , Pinyin Wáng Yùróng ; born April 27, 1931 in Shanghai ; † January 18, 2018 ) was a Chinese clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Taichung .

Life

Joseph Wang Yu-jung was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Taipei on December 24, 1955 .

Pope Paul VI appointed him on July 1, 1975 titular bishop of Árd Sratha and auxiliary bishop in Taipei . The episcopal ordination donated him to the Cardinal Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples , Agnelo Rossi , the same year on July 22; Co- consecrators were Joseph Kuo Joshih CDD , Archbishop Emeritus of Taipei, and Stanislaus Lo Kuang , Archbishop of Taipei.

Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Taichung on June 25, 1986. On June 25, 2007, Pope Benedict XVI. his resignation request submitted for reasons of age.
