Kira Misikowetz , married. Misikowetz-Gentilini , (born March 14, 1979 in Mississauga , Ontario ) is a former Canadian ice hockey player and current coach , who was active for the ladies team of HC Lugano in the Swiss Women's Hockey League A between 2004 and 2013 . She has been part of the HC Lugano coaching team since 2013.

Career

Kira Misikowetz played in North American college ice hockey between 1998 and 2002, first from 1998 for the Black Bears of the University of Maine , then from 2000 for the University of New Hampshire . She set new records for the Black Bears with 40 scorer points (including 28 assists) in her rookie season. In two years for New Hampshire, she scored 28 goals and 39 assists and was nominated for the Patty Kazmaier Award in 2002.

For the 2004/05 season she was signed by HC Lugano , for which she played very successfully in class A in the following years .

After the 2012/13 season, she ended her active career and became an assistant coach at HC Lugano.

Since her marriage, she has also been known as Kira Gentilini or Kira Misikowetz-Gentilini.
