The 2003/04 season was the sixth season of the National Women's Hockey League (NWHL), the top Canadian division in women's ice hockey at the time. The Calgary Oval X-Treme defeated the Brampton Thunder 6-5 after extra time and penalty shootout in the championship final , securing their second championship title in a row.

Attendees

The league started with nine participants after the Vancouver Griffins had to withdraw from game operations after unsuccessful sales intentions. The Western Division was therefore only formed by Calgary Oval X-Treme and Edmonton Chimos . The Central Division consisted of the Toronto Eros , Brampton Thunder , Oakville Ice (formerly Mississauga Ice Bears ) and the Telus Lightning . The Ottawa Raiders , Montréal Axion (formerly Wingstar) and the Avalanche du Québec continued to play in the Eastern Division .
