The 1999/2000 season was the second season of the National Women's Hockey League (NWHL), the top Canadian division in women's ice hockey at the time. The Beatrice Eros defeated the Sainte-Julie Panthères in the championship final and thus secured the championship title of the NWHL.

Attendees

The league started with nine participants: The Clearnet Lightning from Durham were included in the league and included in the Western Division. In this continued the Beatrice Eros , Brampton Thunder , Mississauga Chiefs and the Scarborough Sting , all from Ontario . In the Eastern Division played the Laval Le Mistral , Ottawa Raiders , Montréal Wingstar and the Sainte-Julie Panthères , the latter played in the 1998/99 season as Montréal Jofa-Titan .

NWHL Championship

In March 2000, the NWHL championship trophy was presented to the public, the NWHL Champions Cup . This was played in the form of a final tournament between the playoff winners of the two divisions.
