Nancy Drolet (born August 2, 1973 in Drummondville , Quebec ) is a former Canadian ice hockey player who played in the National Women's Hockey League until 2003 .

Career

In the early 1990s, Drolet was a member of the Canadian national softball team and won the Panamerican Games with them in 1991 . From 1992 she switched to ice hockey and played for the Canadian ice hockey team Jofa-Titan de Sherbrooke from 1992 to 1998 , from 2004 she was also its manager. From 2001 to 2003 she played for the Vancouver Griffins team , previously from 1999 to 2001 for the Pantheres de Sainte-Julie . At the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano, she won the silver medal with the Canadian National Olympic Team. She won gold medals at world championships with the Canadian national ice hockey team in 1992, 1994, 1997, 1999, 2000 and 2001. She is particularly known for her two goals in the extra time of the 1997 and 2000 World Cup finals , in which she scored the decisive goal against the USA and thus secured her team the gold medal.

Drolet has been married to Nathalie Allaire since 2009.
