The 1995/96 season in performance class A was the seventh edition of the top division in Swiss women's ice hockey and also the tenth Swiss championship. The SC Lyss women's team won the title for the third time in the club's history . The DHC Langenthal increased in the performance class B , and has been the winner of the second division, the SC Reinach replaced.
In order to permanently raise the level of play, the Swiss women's championship was divided into three classes before the 1995/96 season: 6 teams in the LKA, 6 teams in the LKB and the LKC was divided regionally into three groups with a total of 20 teams.
