The 2012/2013 season in performance class A was the 24th edition of the top division in Swiss women's ice hockey and also the 27th Swiss championship. The ZSC Lions women's team won the title for the third time in a row . The DHC Langenthal team lost all 20 games of the season as well as all play-outs and league relegation games and consequently rose to performance class B. The club was then withdrawn from gaming.

mode

The game mode of performance class A provides for a qualification consisting of round-trip rounds as well as play-offs ( best of five ) and play-outs. The round trip consists of 10 games per team. Before the second half of the season, the points collected are halved. After qualification, the teams in ranks 1-4 play for the Swiss championship title in the play-offs, while the teams in fifth and sixth place in a best-of-five series determine the participant in the relegation against the winner of the LKB .

Class A games are scored according to the three-point rule : three points are awarded for a win after regular time, two points for a win after overtime or a penalty shoot-out, one point for a defeat after overtime or a penalty shoot-out and one point for a defeat regular playing time zero points.
