Melanie Häfliger (born September 29, 1982 in Schenkon ) is a former Swiss ice hockey player who played in the forward position for the Swiss national ice hockey team from 2001 to 2011 . In the club she last worked for the ZSC Lions .

Career

Melanie Häfliger played at least from 2001 to 2011 at SC Reinach in performance class A and was Swiss champion three times with this club . She spent the 2007/08 season at Küssnachter SC . In 2011 she moved to the ZSC Lions . In addition to the Swiss league, she played with the breeders in the European Women Champions Cup and the EWHL Super Cup . In 2013 she ended her active career.

International

She made her debut in the Swiss national ice hockey team at the 2001 Women's Ice Hockey World Championship . Then she went to the Olympic ice hockey tournament in 2010 and the World Championships in 2004 , 2007 , 2008 and 2011 for the "Nati". At the 2008 World Cup she was one of the three best players on the Swiss team.
