The 2007/2008 season in performance class A was the 19th edition of the top division in Swiss women's ice hockey and at the same time the 22nd Swiss championship. The DHC Langenthal won the title for the second time in the club's history - after 14 years without a title .
mode
The game mode provides for preliminary and intermediate rounds as well as play-offs (best-of-three) and play-outs. The preliminary and intermediate rounds consist of the first and second round with a total of 20 games per team. Before the intermediate round, the points collected are shared. The teams in ranks 1-4 then play in the play-offs for the Swiss championship title, while the teams in places 5 and 6 play in the play-outs against the three best LKB teams for promotion and relegation.
Class A games are scored according to the three-point rule : three points are awarded for a win after regular time, two points for a win after overtime or a penalty shoot-out, one point for a defeat after overtime or a penalty shoot-out and one point for a defeat regular playing time zero points.
Attendees
Due to the withdrawal of DSC Oberthurgau and EHC Basel / KLH after the previous season, only six teams started the 2006/07 season. The disbanded women's team of EV Zug changed clubs and from then on played for Küssnachter SC , in whose ice rink they had often avoided in previous years. As a climber, the women of the ZSC Lions took part in performance class A for the first time.
