The 1989/90 season in performance class A was the first edition of the top division in Swiss women's ice hockey and at the same time the fourth Swiss championship. The Swiss championship was won for the second time in the club's history by the women's team of the Grasshopper Club Zurich , while DHC Langenthal was relegated to class B.
