Garriguella is a Catalan municipality in the province of Girona in northeastern Spain . It is located in the Comarca Alt Empordà .

The municipality lies below the Baga d'en Ferran mountain range at an altitude of 56 meters.

economy

In the municipality of Garriguella, cork oaks and pines are grown commercially. The main economic source of income is viticulture. The grapes are processed in local cooperatives and the wine is marketed under the guaranteed Denomination of Origin Empordà Costa Brava .
