Capmany is a Catalan municipality in the province of Girona in northeastern Spain . It is located in the Comarca Alt Empordà .

economy

The community is dominated by agriculture and mainly vines are cultivated. The harvested grapes are processed into wine and cava in local wineries and sold under the guaranteed Denominations of Origin Empordà and Catalunya ; Among other things, the winery Grup Oliveda , which is known beyond Catalonia, is located in Capmany, which also houses a wine museum on its company premises.
