Espolla is a Catalan municipality in the province of Girona in northeastern Spain . It is located in the Comarca Alt Empordà .

location

Espolla is a few kilometers east of the Autopista AP-7 and is located northwest of the Rabós community , north of Mollet de Peralada , northeast of Sant Climent Sescebes , east of Capmany and southeast of Cantallops .

economy

The municipality is dominated by agriculture and mainly vines and olive trees are cultivated; the harvested grapes and olives are processed into wine and olive oil in the local cooperative and sold under the guaranteed Denomination of Origin Empordà .
