Llers is a Catalan municipality in the province of Girona in northeastern Spain . It is located about 6 kilometers northwest of Figueres , the capital of the Comarca Alt Empordà .

Despite the population of just over 1000, the area around Llers was one of the wealthiest in Catalonia in the Middle Ages, with eleven castles alone on an area of ​​around 30 hectares. Today Llers is primarily a dormitory city for Figueres.

TP Ferro Concesionaria, SA, or TP Ferro for short, has been located in Llers since 2003 and is the installer and operator of the LGV Perpignan – Figueres , the high-speed rail line through the Pyrenees .
