Colera is a coastal town on the Costa Brava in Catalonia , Spain . It is located on the eastern foothills of the Pyrenees in the far northeast of the Iberian Peninsula . Until 1936 Colera was part of the neighboring municipality of Portbou .

Tourism and infrastructure

Colera is less influenced by mass tourism than the places further south on the Costa Brava. There are two small beaches, a marina and a campsite . The place has a train station on the Portbou - Girona line .
