Thierry Paterlini (born April 27, 1975 in Chur ) is a former Swiss ice hockey player and current coach who has been under contract with EHC Bülach in the first division since 2013 .

Career

Thierry Paterlini began his career as a hockey player with the GCK Lions , for which he was active in the National League B from 1993 to 1996 . He then moved to SC Bern , with whom he became Swiss champions for the first time in his career in 1997 . After four years in Bern, Paterlini moved to HC Davos in 2000 , with whom he won the Spengler Cup twice in a row in 2000 and 2001 and was Swiss champion for the second time in the 2001/02 season . Before the 2004/05 season , the attacker was committed by the ZSC Lions , with whom he played for the following three years. In the 2009/10 season Paterlini was under contract with the Rapperswil-Jona Lakers and continued to play with the ZSC Lions in the 2010/11 season. After a season in Zurich, he joined the HC Sierre in the National League B . After the 2012/13 season , Paterlini ended his playing career at the age of 37.

One season later he was hired by EHC Bülach as a trainer.

International

For Switzerland , Paterlini took part in the U20 Junior World Championship in 1994 and the U20 B Junior World Championship in 1995 . Furthermore, Paterlini was in the Swiss squad at the B-World Cup in 1997 , the A-World Cup in 2002 , 2003 , 2004 , 2005 , 2006 , 2007 , 2008 and 2009 and played for Switzerland at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin .
