Ice Hockey World Championship 1995

The International Ice Hockey Federation organized in 1995 the 59th World Ice Hockey Championships .

Men's

The 59th Men's World Championship took place at the following locations and times:

A World Championship: April 23 to May 7 in Stockholm and Gävle ( Sweden )
B World Cup: 12. April bis 21st April in Bratislava ( Slovakia )
C1 World Cup: 20th March bis 26. March in Sofia ( Bulgaria )
C2 World Cup: 21st March bis thirtieth March in Johannesburg ( South Africa )

A total of 39 teams took part in these world championships, which was a new record. There was no qualification in 1995.

Women

A women's world championship was not held in 1995.

Juniors

The 19th Junior World Championship was held at the following locations:

Junior A World Championship: December 26, 1994 to January 4, 1995 in Red Deer ( Canada )
Junior B World Championship: December 27, 1994 to January 5, 1995 in Rouen , Caen , Le Havre , Louviers ( France )
Junior C1 World Championship: December 29, 1994 to January 3, 1995 in Puigcerdà ( Spain )
Junior C2 World Championship: December 31, 1995 to January 6, 1995 in Tallinn ( Estonia ).

The qualification tournament for the C1 group was held from September 3rd to 5th, 1994 in Minsk , Belarus .

A total of 30 teams registered for the U20 Junior World Championship, which led to the establishment of the C2 World Championship.
