The 2017 Ice Hockey World Championships were held by the International Ice Hockey Federation in five different age and gender categories. All in all, min. 28 tournaments played.

The 81st Men's Ice Hockey World Championship was held in Germany and France from May 5 to 21, 2017 . The venues were Cologne and Paris . Germany last hosted the World Cup in 2010. The last World Cup in France took place in 1968 as part of the Winter Olympics in Grenoble .
