Ice Hockey World Championship 2019

The 2019 ice hockey world championships were held by the International Ice Hockey Federation in five different age and gender categories. A total of 30 tournaments took place in all divisions.

Tournament overview

Men's

The 83rd World Ice Hockey Championships the men was from 10 to 26 May 2019 in Slovakia held. The tournament was awarded at the IIHF Congress in Prague during the 2015 World Cup after the only other applicant Switzerland withdrew his application and the 2020 tournament was held . Since the country gained independence in 1993, Slovakia has hosted the tournament for the second time since 2011 .
