The Sportclub Thunerstern is a roller hockey club in Thun and has been an integral part of the National League A since it was founded in 1959. In the 2013/14 season, the SC Thunerstern was relegated to the National League B with a team consisting almost exclusively of juniors. The name of the association has its origins in the city's coat of arms, where a gold, seven-pointed star can be seen. This star can also be seen in the club's logo.

Venue

The SC Thunerstern plays its home games in the multi-purpose hall for uni and roller hockey, or MUR hall for short. The special thing about this hall is the roof construction. It comes from a now demolished factory building in the Selve. Since the roof structure was classified as worth preserving, it was restored and integrated into the new building around one kilometer from the former location.
