Kevin Nastiuk (born July 20, 1985 in Edmonton , Alberta ) is a Canadian ice hockey goalkeeper with Ukrainian roots, who was most recently under contract with the Dresdner Eislöwen from the DEL2 .

Career

Kevin Nastiuk began his career in 2001/02 with the Medicine Hat Tigers in the Western Hockey League . In the 2003 NHL Entry Draft , he was selected by the Carolina Hurricanes in the fourth round in 126th place.

He went through a few stations in various lower-class ice hockey leagues, such as the American Hockey League and ECHL . During the 2009/10 season he moved to the Eisbären Berlin in the German Ice Hockey League , where he formed a goalkeeper team with Rob Zepp until 2012 . He then played for the Heilbronner Falken in the 2nd Bundesliga, before he was signed for a year by the Dresdner Eislöwen in July 2013 . With the Eislöwen he showed very good performances, so that his contract was extended by one year in 2014.

In July 2015 he returned to the Eisbären and was back-up for Petri Vehanen . After a year with the Eisbären and six appearances in the DEL, he returned to Dresden and was the goalkeeper there in the 2016/17 season.
